Lauren and Donato chose to celebrate their marriage with an intimate summer elopement at the DC War Memorial, surrounded by the architecture, light, and history of the National Mall. Their day was elegant without feeling overly formal, with a chic bridal look, classic florals, and plenty of space for the two of them to simply enjoy being together.

Filtered summer sunlight coming through the trees can create a luminous quality around the couple, while the pale stone keeps the overall images bright and timeless. Lauren and Donato's gallery is a wonderful example of that balance: the architecture establishes the setting, but the photographs remain centered on the two of them.

For an elopement, that balance is especially important. There are fewer logistical distractions, which means there is more room to slow down, walk together, notice the light, and let the photographs unfold naturally.
